The Payment Service specialist will ensure the complete and accurate process of making payments on-behalf of Fanatics, which includes:  validating and processing all invoices as needed, timely payment of vendors, and working with other departments as needed to ensure the highest customer service internally and externally.

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

-Perform day to day full-cycle accounts payable transactions to ensure accurate and timely payment processing

-Ensure three-way matching of purchase order, receipt, and invoice in order to accurately pay vendor obligations

-Research billing and matching discrepancies 

-Ensure proper discounts are taken

-Verify transactions comply with accounting policies and procedures

-Reconcile vendor statements and respond to all vendor inquires

-Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and corporate accounts payable files

-Assists in monthly closings

-Administrative duties and other duties as assigned

-Understand and adhere to internal controls

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

-Knowledge of EDI and three-way match preferred

-Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision

-Strong analytical/problem solving, communication, organization, and initiative skills

-Able to multitask and detailed-oriented

-Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment where the ability to prioritize is key and teamwork is a must

-Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful, mature and flexibility are required traits

-Working knowledge of MS Excel required, intermediate level skills a plus

-Must maintain good attendance

-Must maintain safe work practices

-Typing and 10 key skills required

-Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

-High School Diploma required

-2-year Accounts Payable experience or equivalent Data Entry experience
