Accounts Receivable Clerk supports the day-to-day operational activities of an accounts receivable department. Creates and distributes invoices to customers. Being an Accounts Receivable Clerk records, verifies, and posts payments received by the organization and ensures transactions are recorded in accordance with internal accounting policies. Maintains and reconciles accounts receivable ledger to ensure accurate and timely receipt of payments. Additionally, Accounts Receivable Clerk responds to customer inquiries and assists with the research of any discrepancies regarding bills. May utilize accounting software and systems to manage invoices and payments. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Accounts Receivable Clerk works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Summary: The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for engaging with customers, collecting, and recording of accuracy and integrity of payments to customers’ accounts and maintain accounts receivable records by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
•Interact with customers on payments and status of accounts.
•Work collaboratively with internal partners to ensure customer remittances are applied to open accounts receivables.
•Researches and resolves account claims and discrepancies with customers.
•Prepares credits due to customers as a result of incomplete deliveries, pricing/discount issues, etc.
•Process daily bank deposits.
•Answers phone inquiries and follows up.
•Obtains and mails statements and invoices copies for customers.

Education and/or Experience: One year certificate from college or technical school preferred; three to six months related experience and/or training, preferably in accounting work; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos and write simple correspondence.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, in addition to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Knowledge of Internet, Microsoft Office Suite software and order processing systems or the aptitude to learn.

Tools & Technology: Proficient Excel skills, experience with online banking platforms, experience with bookkeeping programs, VIP experience preferred.
