Accounts Receivable Clerk jobs in Germantown, MD

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review customer purchase orders against sales orders to ensure there are no discrepancies in pricing or quantities on the resulting AR invoices
• Ensure that invoices comply with company standards and customer requirements
• Obtain proofs of deliveries for shipments as supporting documentation for invoices
• Foster positive customer relationships to ensure timely payments;
• Resolve issues with overdue invoices
• Investigate and reconcile any account discrepancies
• Collect past due payments
• Process credit cards charges
• Other clerical duties and projects as assigned

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English
• Highly organized
• Able to finish tasks accurately and on time
• Willing to learn and adapt to new tasks
• Able to work in a fast paced and demanding environment, both independently and as part of a team
• Able to handle a large number of emails and respond to them in a timely manner
• Self-motivated
• Must be accurate and reliable in handling customer accounts and documents
• Some experience in an accounting environment or an associate’s degree is preferred
• Previous customer invoicing and collections experience desirable
