Accounts Receivable Clerk jobs in Stockton, CA
Accounts Receivable Clerk supports the day-to-day operational activities of an accounts receivable department. Creates and distributes invoices to customers. Being an Accounts Receivable Clerk records, verifies, and posts payments received by the organization and ensures transactions are recorded in accordance with internal accounting policies. Maintains and reconciles accounts receivable ledger to ensure accurate and timely receipt of payments. Additionally, Accounts Receivable Clerk responds to customer inquiries and assists with the research of any discrepancies regarding bills. May utilize accounting software and systems to manage invoices and payments. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Accounts Receivable Clerk works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Reporting to the Controller, Accounts Receivable is responsible for ensuring accurate and
timely day-to-day processing of accounts receivable. Must be a team player able to
demonstrate the skills and provide the job characteristics below:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Prepare and send sales invoices
• Manage the collections of overdue accounts
• Record payments and reconcile customer accounts
• Maintain billing accounts and records
• Provide support for external and internal audits
• Work closely with the Operations and Finance teams to ensure accurate and timelybilling
• Responsible for the collections reporting and review meetings with seniormanagement
- Assist with other various AP reports and projects as requested by the Controller
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS- 5 years of directly-related accounts receivable experience.
- Experience with Softpak a plus.
- Intermediate to expert skill in MS Office suite including Word, Excel and Outlook.
