Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial concepts and experience with corporate accounting practices.

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for daily deposits, incoming and outgoing mail
• Primary telephone operator
• Responsible for checking and balancing the main HQ cash drawer once daily.
• Distributes mail and is responsible for all postage and monitoring the postage machine.
• Helps with billing any customer freight that may have been overlooked at time of order entry.
• Responsible for front-line customer service in person and/or by telephone to resolve customer account issues.
• Responsible for overseeing all phases of accounts receivable: distributing invoices via fax or email, cash application and daily balancing.
• Accountable for daily deposits, incoming and outgoing mail.

Skills:

• Must be computer literate and possess keyboarding skills.
• Telephone etiquette and positive communication skills are essential.
• Must be able to operate fax, copy machine, credit card machine and calculator.
• Should be a team player and have problem solving capabilities.
• Previous bookkeeping experience helpful.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
