Accounts Receivable Manager manages accounts receivable functions to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. Oversees collection activities such as sending follow-up inquiries, negotiating with past-due accounts, and keeping track of cash receipts. Being an Accounts Receivable Manager monitors account aging reports, identifies delinquent accounts, and refers accounts to collection agencies. Develops and implements controls and policies to ensure accurate and compliant receivable records. The Accounts Receivable Accountant is responsible for regularly analyzing and reconciling accounts receivable and other accounting general duties and responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable
· Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files and contacts delinquent account holders to request payment
· Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested
· Researches customer discrepancies and past-due amounts and responds to customers’ inquiries
· Manage ad-hoc accounting projects as necessary
· Review incoming customer Purchase Orders for accuracy and completeness
· Process customer POs with appropriate departments
· Update all logs/systems with order information
· Assist in the preparation of paperwork related to international shipments
· Reconcile key accounts in a timely manner
· Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries
· Administer daily accounting functions in QuickBooks accounting Software
· Analyzes and verifies account information; creates spreadsheets and reports
· Assist in the implementation of the annual budget process and variance reporting budget vs actual
· Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes
· Back-up Account Payables
· All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Familiarity with fundamental accounting principles (GAAP), practices, rules, and regulations.
· Prior knowledge and hands-on experience using QuickBooks accounting software preferred.
· Advanced proficiency in MS Office Excel
· Proficiency with Google G-Suite and MS Office Products
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s Degree (BS) from a four-year college or university in Accounting or Finance preferred
· Minimum three years related experience working in an Accounting/Finance Department or an equivalent combination of education and experience
· Minimum three years of manufacturing cost accounting experience preferred
