Accounts Receivable Manager manages accounts receivable functions to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. Oversees collection activities such as sending follow-up inquiries, negotiating with past-due accounts, and keeping track of cash receipts. Being an Accounts Receivable Manager monitors account aging reports, identifies delinquent accounts, and refers accounts to collection agencies. Develops and implements controls and policies to ensure accurate and compliant receivable records. Additionally, Accounts Receivable Manager verifies customer credit limits and applicable payment terms. Audits methods and procedures of accounts receivable function to improve efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Accounts Receivable Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Accounts Receivable Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Reports To: Controller 
    Hours: 8am - 5pm, Monday through Friday 
    Location: On-site in Melbourne office. This is not a remote position.  
    Pay Range: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:   

    • Participate in the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations  

    • Prepares monthly financial statements (balance sheet and income statement)  

    • Prepares other miscellaneous financial reports (1099s, sales/use tax, banking-related)  

    • Review job costs and overheads for corrective action  

    • Assists with obtaining and reporting key performance indicator (metrics) data  

    • Controls banking activities and reconciles bank and credit card accounts  

    • Coordinates accounting records with the CPA to ensure financial status of the franchise is properly reflected  

    • Manages the A/P process, including vendor invoicing and payments  

    • Compiles and reviews labor hours and processes payroll  

    • Manages business licenses and insurance  

    • Record, process, and follow up on Workers Compensation/Vehicle Accidents  

    • Responsible for compliance with Federal and State legislation employment laws  

    • Compiles and reviews labor hours and processes payroll  

    • Manage all phases of job costing  

    • Assist other team members when needed and foster a positive working relationship with other departments.  

    Applicant Qualifications (Requirements):  

    • Desire to join a world-class team and contribute a positive attitude  

    • 2 years in customer service  

    • Degree in Accounting or Finance (Preferred)  

    • Accounting experience 3 years (Required)  

    • Be a great representative of our brand with skills, ask questions and monitor various aspects of the business to detect problems  

    • Prior Construction Accounting Experience (Preferred)  

    • QuickBooks Online experience (Preferred)  

    • Microsoft office experience 2 years (Preferred)
