    ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE MANAGER

    Job Summary:

    • Acts as liaison between Liberty Healthcare Management (“LHM”) departments, facility administrators, business office managers, directors, management and staff.
    • Oversee and assist facilities with AR related questions, hold AR reviews to discuss all third party outstanding accounts.
    • Ensures all monthly goals are met and staff work is audited and in compliance with state and federal regulations.
    • Performs complex functions related to billing.
    • Maintain current Account Receivable and Productivity reporting.(ADSO and Bad Debt)
    • Monitors processing of claims for reimbursement and ensures all necessary documentation and attachments are included with claims and submitted on a timely basis.
    • Orients and trains area employees in the accounts receivable (“AR”) department and business office managers in AR policies and procedures and assists staff in carrying out their work by responding to more complex questions and problems.
    • Gathers and exchanges information necessary to ensure timely processing and reimbursement of claims and to promote maximum cash flow and reduce outstanding days in accounts receivable.
    • Assists in development and implementation of AR department policies and procedures, as required.
    • Remains current in government regulatory changes affecting Federal Payor eligibility, billing and operational procedures.
    • Assists in completing LHM financial audits and other departmental audits on a timely basis.
    • Develops special reports and financial/billing statistics related to AR activities, as requested by management.
    • Assist in interviewing of new AR department staff, and business office managers and recommend hiring.
    • Implementation of quality control measures to meet HIPAA compliance in billing department.
    • Ensures accuracy of adjustments and balances.
    • Assists internal and external customers and payor sources regarding questions on third party billing.
    • Work closely with AR Office Manager, Business Office Consultants and Business Office Managers in the facility to ensure accurate claims billing.
    • Keep LHM management informed of all billing and collection issues.
    • Review and verify all AR month end close packets for accuracy prior to closing.
    • Complete various AR Reports for senior management. (ADSO, Bad debt)
    • Able to assist in the set up for new acquisitions and maintenance functions (rate updates) of billing software.
    • Work with Corporate LTC Billing Director to establish procedures for billing and follow up of insurance accounts.
    • Perform AR Reviews of third party payers on monthly basis and work with billers to get claims paid in a timely manner.
    • Have knowledge of all billing entities and support and manage billers to be able to bill all claims electronically (Nurse Practitioners, Liberty Advantage, Pharmacy)
    • Review and approve all write offs and referrals to collections on monthly basis.
    • Review and approve LTC Billing office A/P
    • Oversight and Coordinate collection accounts with any outside collection firm.
    • Oversight and knowledge to complete all 855s, credentialing and licensure applications as needed.
    • Trains on all Software implementation and continuous support for staff and facilities (to include but not limited to, Med Supply, NC TRACKS, PCC. Softwriters, Gherimed)
    • Ability to ensure all billing is done timely.
    • Grow and learn new companies and endeavors as they are added.
    • Be able to cover all aspects of jobs in the centralized billing office.
    • Coordinate information for audits.
    • Conduct AR Focus calls and participate in Monthly AR Calls.
    • Coordinate and support receivables management with division senior leadership.

    Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Accounting, Finance, or similar program preferred, and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Health Care Receivables Management.
    • Must be able to maintain information in a confidential manner
    • Must have basic accounting abilities and ability to work with large numbers.
    • Ability to read and interpret insurance contracts.
    • Must be able to maintain Accounts Receivable ADSOs and Bad Debt at appropriate Goal levels.
    • Must demonstrate leadership ability and critical thinking skills
    • Some travel required

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
