Accounts Receivable Supervisor jobs in New York
Accounts Receivable Supervisor is responsible for supervising and guiding operations in the accounts receivable function of an organization. Maintains and reconciles accounts receivable ledger to ensure accurate and timely receipt of payments. Being an Accounts Receivable Supervisor monitors collection period and sends follow-up inquiries regarding payments for the organization. Negotiates with past-due accounts to resolve all payment issues in a timely manner. Additionally, Accounts Receivable Supervisor implements standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and controls. Generates reports to bring insight into collections, account ages, and other relevant metrics and relays conclusions to management. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Accounts Receivable Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Accounts Receivable Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. - Integrates and assists with maintenance and entry of electronic billing customer invoices submitted through various proprietary invoicing portals.
- Inquires, researches, and resolves issues related to rejected invoices
- Proactively interface and communicate with internal and external customers on an ongoing and regular basis to resolve issues related to invoicing.
- Implements and trains of new and existing portal team members.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years in general/project management
- Knowledge of electronic billing through various invoicing portals required is a plus.
- Detailed understanding of invoices, statements of account, customer purchase orders, accounts payable/receivable and various forms of payment remittances.
- Proficient research and investigation skills.
- Problem solving, analytical, technical planning and organization skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- Strong self- management, high attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
