Job Summary:

Plans and provides an ongoing program of activities designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of each patient.

Essential Job Duties:

1. Plans and provides activities appropriate to the needs of the patients on a daily basis.
2. Plans activities for evening and weekend times and coordinates with other staff to carry out plan.
3. Assesses patient needs and develops treatment plan accordingly.
4. Properly documents progress notes in electronic medical record.
5. Participates with the director in developing an activity budget.
6. Attends treatment review meetings daily and reports patient participation.

Secondary Job Duties That May be Reassigned:

1. Other duties as assigned

Job Specifications:

• Education:
• Licensure as a qualified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or Activities Professional Certified by a recognized accrediting body preferred, but not required.
• Experience: Placement or experience in mental health setting preferable.
