Activity Specialist organizes and provides program content for social events for an organization or group of people. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being an Activity Specialist is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Activity Specialist performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. About the Role: Willow Crossing Health and Rehabilitation is seeking Activity Assistants- To encourage residents to participate in meaningful activities.
- To maintain all records relating to activities and complete all paperwork on a timely basis.
- Assist with seasonal activities and bulletin boards.
- Complete initial activity interest assessment
- Assist Activity Director in integrating the activity department with other departments
About you: The ideal candidate would have the following skills and experience.
- High School Graduate or its equivalent is preferred
- Must possess valid Indiana driver’s license.
- Ability to read and write in English, ability to communicate with residents, families, personnel and support agencies.
- Must capable of extended periods of standing and bending.
- Knowledge of arts, crafts, music and group activities.
