Addiction Mental Health Assessor jobs in Minnesota

Addiction Mental Health Assessor conducts initial and ongoing assessments of patients in Alcohol and Drug (AoD) addiction programs to determine mental health needs and establish care requirements. Provides initial treatment and refers clients to appropriate agencies/providers as needed. Being an Addiction Mental Health Assessor works with patients and families to develop appropriate chemical dependency service plans. Complies with standards in the area of evaluation, assessment, treatment, and service delivery to clients. Additionally, Addiction Mental Health Assessor requires certification as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or similar. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require a state license to practice. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Addiction Mental Health Assessor's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     Join a team where passion and excellence unite! Western Mental Health Center, located in Marshall, MN, is seeking a full-time Children’s Mental Health Professional to provide services to children (birth – 5) and families in addition to working with our school linked mental health services.

    LICSW, LPC, LMFT licensure preferred. Supervision hours towards licensure may be available for a qualified master's level individual. Full time salaried position. EOE.

    FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

    • Create and maintain Individual Treatment Plans with clients and their families
    • Provide services in a variety of settings, including home and school
    • Develop connections with the school staff, students and parents to create rapport and provide quality services
    • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records consistent with Center and industry standards
    • Participates in supervision sessions, meetings and trainings
    • Collaborates with other WHMC services providers to engage clients in care
    • Performs other job duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Master’s degree in clinical social work, counseling or other human services fields and can be licensed eligible, LCSW, LMFT, or LPC preferred.
    • Candidates requiring supervision towards licensure are encouraged to apply.
    • Understanding of the public school system and provision of services within the school environment.
    • Must meet all criminal background requirements.
    • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
