Addiction Mental Health Assessor jobs in Toledo, OH

Addiction Mental Health Assessor conducts initial and ongoing assessments of patients in Alcohol and Drug (AoD) addiction programs to determine mental health needs and establish care requirements. Provides initial treatment and refers clients to appropriate agencies/providers as needed. Being an Addiction Mental Health Assessor works with patients and families to develop appropriate chemical dependency service plans. Complies with standards in the area of evaluation, assessment, treatment, and service delivery to clients. Additionally, Addiction Mental Health Assessor requires certification as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or similar. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require a state license to practice. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Addiction Mental Health Assessor's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     What We Do:

    OhioMHAS operates regional psychiatric hospitals in six locations across the state that operate 365/24/7. Our specialized facilities provide short-term, intensive treatment to patients in both inpatient and community-supported environments. We also deliver comprehensive care to patients committed through the criminal justice system.

    Salary Information:

    $2,000.00 New Hire Sign on Bonus, $1,000.00 paid at 120 days, $1000.00 paid at 365 days. No contract or length of terms

    • $33.45 per hour with the first increase in 180 days to $35.07
    • Additional $1.50 per hour shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift
    • Additional $3.35 per hour for hours worked 2:30 pm – 7:00 am
    • Additional hourly retention supplements available for education and certifications up to 15%
    • Annual increases each year with an additional longevity supplement after 5 years of service

    The Job Opportunity And Duties:

    What you will do:

    • Serve in a fundamental role as an interdisciplinary treatment team member for psychiatric patients creating and executing treatment plans
    • Observe, evaluate, and record patient behavior, condition, & response to medication
    • As charge nurse, initiate and direct psychiatric and nursing care for patients and provide support for nursing staff while promoting a positive and safe environment for recovery
    • Contributes vital input on records, plans, and reports
    • Facilitate patient group activities

    You Also Need To Know:

    • Must be able to complete a 4 week (business days Monday-Friday) full time orientation

    • Biennial renewal of licensure as registered nurse
