Addiction Mental Health Assessor conducts initial and ongoing assessments of patients in Alcohol and Drug (AoD) addiction programs to determine mental health needs and establish care requirements. Provides initial treatment and refers clients to appropriate agencies/providers as needed. Being an Addiction Mental Health Assessor works with patients and families to develop appropriate chemical dependency service plans. Complies with standards in the area of evaluation, assessment, treatment, and service delivery to clients. Additionally, Addiction Mental Health Assessor requires certification as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or similar. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require a state license to practice. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Addiction Mental Health Assessor's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Billing Specialist to join our team. As a Mental Health Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing support and care to individuals with mental health conditions. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the implementation of policies that are compliant with insurance contracts, local laws and regulations while also practicing compassion for our clients.
Duties:
- Generating and submitting claims to various insurance companies
- Communicating with clients for various aspects of billing (current contact or insurance information, collecting payments, etc.)
- Developing procedures to improve and streamline billing process
- Collaborate with mental healthcare professionals
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a mental health setting is highly desirable
- Knowledge of InSync, medical terminology, medical coding, medical office procedures, medical billing, coding, DRG, ICD-9, and medical collection is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
