Administrative Services Director plans and directs the operations of an organization's staff and service functions. Oversees various internal service functions that typically include administrative/office, financial operations, facility maintenance/space planning, security, hospitality services, equipment and supply procurement, vendor management, and others. Being an Administrative Services Director monitors capital and operating budget spending. Designs and implements processes and policies that support efficient service delivery and meet the organization's changing needs. Responsible for carrying out clerical tasks within the office of the Director of Inmate Services. Also responsible for the tracking and entering of inmate work, education, program attendance and the calculating of earned good time awards.
Duties and responsibilities:
1. Perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to include answering and directing phone calls, maintaining filing systems, attending meetings and taking meeting minutes, maintaining of various spreadsheets, preparing reports and communication memos.
2. Responds to and coordinates requests from Inmate Attorney’s for the arranging of Attorney/Client phone calls.
3. Assists with security visitor and vendor clearances.
4. Works collaboratively with the Assistant Director of Recidivism Reducing Programs to maintain an accurate list of inmate programs and approved EGT Awards.
5. Performs various checks within OMS to ensure inmate meets eligibility for earned good time awards to include commitment type, sentence structure and disciplinary status.
6. Tracks and collects inmate work, education and program attendance rosters daily, weekly and monthly.
7. Enters inmate program and work attendance within the Offender Management Roster screens.
8. Reviews monthly attendance rosters within OMS and tabulates inmate earned good time awards.
9. Responds to inmates written requests regarding deductions from sentence.
10. Compile statistical information relative to earned good time.
11. Performs other related duties as designated by the Sheriff and/or his designee
