Under the direction of the Dean, serves as the Administrative Services Manager (ASM) and provides leadership and management oversight for the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (CNSM) and Ocean Studies Institute (OSI).
The ASM is responsible for developing/implementing policies and procedures and resolving issues related to fiscal, staff human resources and general administration of the College.
Extensive and in-depth finance, accounting, and budget knowledge for complex departments or areas. Demonstrated strong analytical skills working with data for strategic budget planning. Ability to prioritize assignments and achieve a high level of quality and productive under rigid deadlines, competing demands, and interruptions. Demonstrated effective communication and leadership skills to work with all levels of staff and administration and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to work independently in providing sound recommendations. Demonstrated managerial skills and knowledge in staff training and professional development. Knowledge of CSU and university personnel, budgetary and accounting processes preferred. Skills related to the organization of people, processes, and tools in an academic setting preferred. Strong computer skills in using software applications such as Excel and Word. Working knowledge of all components of PeopleSoft System preferred.

Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of related experience required.
Business Administration degree and a minimum of four years of experience in financial management and budget analysis preferred.
CNSM Administration - College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (including OSI - Ocean Studies Institute)
Hiring Range: $9,000 - $10,000 per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.
CSU Classification Salary Range: $7,589 - $11,384 per month.
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
