  • Position Overview: The Admissions Representative is responsible for obtaining patient demographic, insurance and financial information along with other criteria as provided by client entities. The Admissions Representative is responsible for ensuring coverage of New Patient call lines, answering intake calls, conducting prescreens, scheduling intakes and admissions processes with incoming patients. This is a full-time position.

    Specific Responsibilities:

    • Facilitating intake calls, prescreens, scheduling intakes and admissions processes with incoming patients
    • Obtaining patient demographic, insurance and financial information along with other criteria as provided by client entities
    • Ensure daily coverage of New Patient Call Lines
    • Facilitate incoming and outgoing communication regarding patients
    • Help to coordinate and encourage adherence to schedules and treatment times
    • Provide informative material for patients
    • Generate, maintain, and communicate daily intake census/patient tracking
    • Develop networks towards sourcing for new clients

     

    Minimum Qualifications

    • BS degree in Healthcare, Business, Social Work, or relevant field (preferred)
    • Experience in Mental Health or Addiction services
    • Experience with KIPU or other Electronic Medical Records (preferred)
    • Fluent in a variety of computer software applications, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) 
    • Proficient with video conferencing (such as, Zoom, MS Teams) 
    • Excellent written, verbal communication skills, and problem solving skills 
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team environment 


    Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

     

    Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
