The PHARMACY CLERK performs many of the administrative duties of the retail pharmacy, such as answering phones, accepting prescriptions, filing records and receiving payment from customers. The Pharmacy Clerk will be the cashier much of the time, so will need good customer service skills and feel comfortable completing sales. Must be able to receive direction from pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Since paperwork and records are an important part of the pharmacy business, the pharmacy clerk will need to be organized and detail oriented. Pharmacy Clerk’s must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment and have strong customer service skills.
