Adult Day Care Director creates and directs programs that address the health, psychosocial, and educational needs of older individuals and their caregivers and that provide clients a safe, secure, and positive daily experience. Responsible for recruiting, training, and retention of qualified staff. Being an Adult Day Care Director manages the financial operations for the center including billing, reimbursements, and budgets. Performs assessments of prospective clients to determine if programs will meet their needs. Additionally, Adult Day Care Director coordinates with caregivers, families, social services agencies, and medical professionals to plan clients program of care. Monitors programs to ensure effectiveness, quality care, compliance with applicable regulations and standards, and to identify areas for improvement or expanded program offerings. May be a RN with experience in gerontology. Requires a bachelor's degree of social science or a directly related field. Typically reports to top management. The Adult Day Care Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be an Adult Day Care Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Job Summary
Responsible for the care and transportation of individual or groups of dogs with an average of 10 dogs transported per day. We operate shuttle services Monday through Friday in all types of weather. Approximately 80% of your time will consist of driving, 15% will be crating, handling and cleaning up after dogs, and the remaining 5% is spent planning routes, and general light upkeep of van (gassing up, cleaning, oil changes etc.)
Responsibilities and Duties
Picking up and dropping off dogs from homes and various other locations. Leashing, crating and safely transporting dogs to and from day care. General upkeep of van, cleaning, refueling, oil changes, tire pressure, notifying management when there is a concern. Cleaning duties such as cleaning up dog waste, cleaning of van and crates in van. Planning and mapping out routes to and from locations

Dog handling skills are preferred. Skills may be in the form of pet ownership, previous pet ownership, working with animals and attending dog training and/or behavior seminars. Training sessions and seminars may be scheduled during non-working hours where your attendance may be required. Experience driving extended size vans or trucks preferred. VALID STATE DRIVERS LICENSE REQUIRED, AS WELL AS CLEAN DRIVING RECORD.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A SPLIT SHIFT POSITION (morning pick ups and evening drop offs) AND BETWEEN THE TWO SHIFTS EACH DAY YOU WILL WORK approximately 1-1.5 hours in the morning and 1-1.5 hours in the afternoon. This will vary with the number of dogs you transport.
