Adult Day Care Director creates and directs programs that address the health, psychosocial, and educational needs of older individuals and their caregivers and that provide clients a safe, secure, and positive daily experience. Responsible for recruiting, training, and retention of qualified staff. Being an Adult Day Care Director manages the financial operations for the center including billing, reimbursements, and budgets. Performs assessments of prospective clients to determine if programs will meet their needs. Additionally, Adult Day Care Director coordinates with caregivers, families, social services agencies, and medical professionals to plan clients program of care. Monitors programs to ensure effectiveness, quality care, compliance with applicable regulations and standards, and to identify areas for improvement or expanded program offerings. May be a RN with experience in gerontology. Requires a bachelor's degree of social science or a directly related field. Typically reports to top management. The Adult Day Care Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Qualifications:

o Read and write adequately to complete required documentation

· Have a good driving record and a valid driver’s license
· Ability to handle issues resulting in positive outcomes
· Pass a background check, including criminal check
· Pass drug screen
· Successfully complete all orientation classes, including CPR/First Aid and medication administration as per state and company policy
Job Summary:
L.A.D.A. has Learning Coaches in place for its services to ensure standards are met. Learning Coaches are part of a professional team responsible for assisting each student in the realization of personal life goals by providing training and support in the areas of, but not limited to, self-care, sensory/motor development, socialization, daily living skills, communication, artistic expression, and community living while helping develop community relationships and natural supports. The Day Program Instructor works under the direct supervision of the Day Program Coordinators.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· To treat all individuals with dignity and respect
· Punctual Attendance
· To teach, assist, and support individuals at Day Program so that the individual is able to learn, practice, and master skills that enable independence and enhance social roles.
· To support each individual’s existing relationships with family and friends and increase their network of friends and acquaintances.
· To implement ISP goals and strategies as written and at a frequency stated in the plan.
· To accurately collect and document program information.
· To ensure the health and well-being of individuals in the program by administering medications, supporting self-administration, and following individual health risk protocols and behavior support plans in accordance with company policy.
· To maintain confidentiality with all information as per company policy.
· To serve as a role model for appropriate social and interpersonal behavior.
· To support each individual by assisting them with emergency procedure drills and document the level of supports needed.
· To maintain on-going communication with residential providers, family/guardians, and other members of each individuals support team.
· To maintain neatness and cleanliness of the building.
· To be an active participant in staff meetings and individual team meetings as assigned.
· To facilitate teamwork between all team members via open communication, sharing of responsibilities, and a positive, constructive attitude.
· Other duties as assigned.
