Adult Education Teacher jobs in Jackson, MS

Under the direction of the Project Manager, to prepare and teach GED/HiSet preparation classes to GED/HiSet and Pre-GED adult students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Develops and teaches adult students in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, and writing which prepare students for the GED/HiSet exams.

2. Provides and effective learning environment for every student through well prepared classes, relevant assignments, clear records of student progress, and support of academic achievement.

3. Monitors and assesses student performance and progress through lessons, assignments, and tests.

4. Manages classroom behavior by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.

5. Maintains accurate and complete student attendance records and achievement progress.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 per year
