Job SummaryThe Annual Giving & Alumni Relations Coordinator plays a pivotal role in fostering a strong connection between Lafayette Catholic School System and its alumni and supporters. This position is responsible for developing and executing strategies to increase annual giving, enhance alumni engagement, and build a robust donor base. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for Catholic education.
This position has the option of a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for 2-3 days of remote work per week. The position does require some limited nights and weekends for events.
Responsibilities- Annual Giving Campaigns:
- Develop and implement annual giving campaigns targeting alumni, parents, and friends of the school.
- Manage donor databases and track giving patterns.
- Create compelling donor communications, including appeals, newsletters, and thank-you letters.
- Coordinate donor recognition programs and events with the Events Coordinator.
- Alumni Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with alumni through various communication channels.
- Plan and execute alumni events, reunions, and networking opportunities.
- Manage the alumni database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Serve as a liaison between the school and alumni groups.
- Donor Stewardship:
- Cultivate and steward donor relationships through personalized communication and recognition.
- Acknowledge donor gifts in a timely and meaningful manner.
- Provide excellent customer service to donors and alumni.
- Data Management and Reporting:
- Utilize donor management software to track and analyze giving data.
- Prepare regular reports on giving trends, alumni engagement, and campaign performance.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Volunteer Management:
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for annual giving and alumni relations initiatives.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
- 1 year of experience in fundraising, sales or related fields.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fluid environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets.
- Proficiency in donor management software and/or CRM systems.
- Experience with social media platforms and digital marketing.
- Passion for Catholic education and a commitment to the mission of the school system.
