Advertising Manager manages the implementation of the strategy, plans, and tactics required to create advertising concepts and campaigns that deliver results and meet organizational and stakeholder objectives. Controls the budget, expenditures, resource allocation, and project timelines for all advertising campaigns. Being an Advertising Manager identifies media channels and directs the placement of all advertisements and the development of promotional materials. Ensures consistent and effective branding and messaging in all forms of advertisements. Additionally, Advertising Manager deploys metrics and data analytics processes to measure campaign effectiveness and assess return on investment. Maintains awareness of industry and competitive intelligence and recommends innovative and new advertising methods and initiatives. Requires a bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Advertising Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Advertising Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     JOB SUMMARY:

    Coordinates and assists in the preparation and execution of advertising for all marketing initiatives across all channels of marketing. This position works closely with in-house and external marketing teams to create, maintain, and distribute accurate and effective messaging.

    Requirements

    Required skills and knowledge:

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Experience totaling three years (combination of work experience and education) in either advertising, desktop publishing, graphic design, or copywriting.
    • Demonstrated understanding of all channels of marketing.
    • Knowledge of basic principle of desktop publishing including Layout, Design, Artwork, Copywriting, Proofreading. 
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Advanced in using Creative Suite, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. 
    • Intermediate knowledge in After Effects and Word press.
    • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office. 
    • Ability to analyze marketing and promotions data.
    • Must be able to speak to the general public and/or groups of individuals.
    • Ability to work in a team environment and to work independently without direct supervision.
    • Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
    • Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays. 
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a Class III Gaming License.

    Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

    • Associate of Arts or above in Graphic Design, Business, Advertising or Marketing.
    • Knowledge of tribal gaming regulations pertaining to marketing functions, internal controls, and department policies.
    • Experience updating and maintaining corporate websites. 

    PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS:

    • Ability to sit, stand or walk for extended lengths of time and lift 50 pounds.
    • Manual and finger dexterity for operation of personal computer and routine paperwork.
    • Ability to tolerate a smoke-filled environment.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

    • Work closely with in-house marketing team and any outside agencies in coordinating TV, radio, print and digital placement.
    • Create, proofread, and edit copy for various marketing channels, ensuring consistent voice.
    • Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure high-quality and timely execution of marketing programs, and to ensure competitiveness. 
    • Collaborates with Graphic Designer to produce promotional and advertising collateral to meet deadlines.
    • Organizes and oversees print and digital media to all locations including, website, digital displays, restaurants, casino floors, and mobile app. 
    • Prepares advertising to be packaged and tracks progress to ensure deadlines are met.
    • Organize, route, and facilitate approvals on all proofs throughout the design process.
    • Produces final digital files.
    • Assists with direct mail program using spreadsheets and data entry.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
