Aerospace Engineer researches and develops structural engineering specifications for aerospace products, parts, or associated operations to improve the efficiency and reliability of aerospace systems. Analyzes results of stress tests on various craft and missile parts to determine material durability and tolerances. Being an Aerospace Engineer oversees flight tests of prototypes and analyzes resulting data to validate flight characteristics and identify necessary improvements. Conducts calculations and utilizes simulations to evaluate aerodynamics, structural integrity, propulsion efficiency, and the effect on fuel consumption of new or existing materials. Additionally, Aerospace Engineer utilizes CAE, 3-D, and digital modeling to create detailed plans and specifications to support production. Assists quality assurance and purchasing teams with the evaluation of new or existing suppliers, products and materials, or technologies. Understands and complies with all federal regulatory requirements and specifications. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Aerospace Engineer work is closely managed.     Position Role Type:

    EDM Operator is an entry position with no certification required. The purpose for an operator at this level is to learn and train on the basic understandings of all EDM specific operations. Operators are required to set up and operate a variety of EDM equipment to produce precision parts under direct supervision by a more senior EDM operator (level II or above). Operator follows and complies with established standard work practices under general supervision in efforts to obtain verification within 120 days. Typically refers problems or deviations to more experienced operators including Lead Technicians, supervisors, or engineers.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Learn how to set up and operate computerized EDM centers according to standard work.
    • Learn how to adjust machine feed/servo speeds and changing of tools per EDM specifications.
    • Learn how to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
    • Understand and follow quality testing techniques. Learn how to inspect product using precision gauges measuring instruments and equipment.
    • Demonstrate proficiency in Manufacturing Documentation and Labor Transactions.
    • Accurately complete production documentation and performs necessary labor transactions.
    • Support and follow all rules/guidelines/standards set by EHS, Quality, and CI functions as set by your leader and position.
    • Actively participate in the Continuous Improvement process as well as safety related activities.
    • Over 40 hours per week as scheduled to meet business needs.
    • All other duties as assigned including working extended shifts/overtime as required by the business
    • Willingness to work nonstandard hours
    • Some Holiday hours may be required based on business need

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Typically requires HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required
    • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Manufacturing background preferred.
    • Manual dexterity to perform tasks associated with assembly and calibration
    • Ability to learn how to read and understand prints.
    • Ability to learn basics of the position within first 3 months of employment.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and management
