DESCRIPTION:

PURPOSE OF JOB:

This individual contributor position is responsible for providing information system solutions to improve business efficiency and productivity for internal and external customers.  Contributes to achieve overall business and departmental goals and objectives.

JOB DUTIES:
 

Application Support & Administration

• Handling application-related help desk tickets related to this position’s function in a timely manner.
• Recommending business-appropriate uses for current software products and applications.
• Provide occasional support for day-to-day hardware and other technical issues.
• Provide occasional after-hours application support for planned upgrades and maintenance windows.
• Become and maintain knowledge as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on key business applications.
• Assist with Salesforce integrations and development.
• Train users as appropriate in best use of current application stack and newly developed or purchased applications.
   

System Analysis w/Microsoft SQL Server

• Create ad-hoc datasets using Structured Query Language statements with joins across multiple tables.
• Efficiently manage SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Identify options and develop reports from SQL Server databases as required by business customers.
   

Agile Management

• Conduct biweekly business review meetings, or as often as requested by management.
• Manage any change requests related to the working project plans daily to meet the agreed deadlines.
• Ensure project timelines are met.
• Validate the accuracy of deliverables and maintain the delivery cycles to internal and external customers.
• Manage small- and medium-sized data projects.
• Coordinate with the groups of business units who test, validate, and evaluate new applications and functions, and determine issues in services and software.

Project Management / United Companies’ Six Sigma

• Function as a team member on large projects. 
• Manage project budgets and assist in providing the final Return on Investment (ROI) analysis.
• Serve as the Information Technology representative on project teams.

Customization & Deployment of New Software

• Participate in the implementation and training of new systems.
• Collect and analyze the project’s business requirements and transfer the same knowledge to external software teams.
• Provide suggestions to the project team during the implementation stage of products to meet business needs.
• Prepare specifications, screen layouts and report designs with external software teams and internal business teams to deliver deployed application software.
• Design and execute test scripts and scenarios.

General

• Ensure prompt and regular attendance.
• Perform other appropriate duties as may be assigned by Management.
• Travel as business needs may require.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or at least 4 years of equivalent relevant experience is minimally required.

Experience:

• 3 years of prior work experience in a similar role is required.
• Prior work experience at a financial services institution is preferred.
• Prior experience with Salesforce administration and integration and support is preferred.

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies:

• Experience writing SQL queries and MS SQL Server.
• Experience with reporting tools MS SSRS and PowerBI.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including advanced working knowledge of Excel.
• Strong project management skills.
• Maintain the confidentiality of business-related information.
• Must possess and continuously maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
