Primary Purpose:
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the agricultural area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in agricultural profession.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree from accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate in agricultural science
Special knowledge/Skills:
Exhibit strong work ethic, leadership and organizational skills
Ability to work in multi-teacher department and willingness to be a part of a team concept
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Track the budget for the agriculture program each year
Coordinator, maintain inventories, and keep record of the agriculture resale accounts for classroom projects
Purchase supplies and equipment for the classroom, office an shop
Inventory the supplies and equipment of the agriculture program
Cooperate in maintaining, planning, and improving the physical facilities
Serve as an FFA Advisor
General Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Training competitive LDE and CDE teams
Supervise SAEPs
Assist with awards and scholarships
Attend camps, conventions, livestock shows and other FFA functions; local, county and state

Salary:
Joaquin ISD Salary scale found on school website www.joaquinisd.net under Human Resources Department.
Length of contract and possibility of stipend to be determined.
Experience;
At least one year student teaching or approved internship
Assignments:
May be assigned to other teaching assignments to fit the need of the students of Joaquin ISD.
