Description
At Crown Power & Equipment, our Agricultural Equipment Sales Representative is not only responsible for the selling of new and used equipment, but they are also a strategic business connection for our customer base. By evaluating a customer's mechanical and technological applications, they are able to lay out a strategic plan for the customers future equipment needs. The Agriculture Equipment Sales Representative is a primary point of contact for their customers which assists to build a strong foundation with our customers to continue our working relationship for years to come.
Essential Job Functions- Build and maintain strong business relationships with current and future customers in a defined sales area.
- Know your product well and stay current on features and benefits.
- Know your territory and the customers within it.
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of used equipment values and be able to competently assess for trading purposes.
- Monitor competitive products and activity.
- Be aware of trends in your customers' businesses.
- Maintain current knowledge of financing options available to customers.
- Conduct new equipment field demonstrations.
- Work as a team not only within the sales department, but with other departments to consistently create a positive customer experience.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to develop strong business relationships.
- Ability to respond quickly, effectively, and professionally to demands and requests from customers and employees.
- Ability to handle and resolve interpersonal conflict.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret sales reports.
- Ability to multi-task and effectively manage time.
- Intermediate-level computer skills, including the ability to learn new business systems and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be self-disciplined and able to work independently.
- Valid driver license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Working knowledge of Agricultural Equipment
Preferred Qualifications- Ag equipment sales experience preferred
Candidate is required to successfully pass the pre-employment screenings which includes background check, pre-employment drug testing as well as driving record evaluation.
