Aircraft Electrician jobs in Fargo, ND

Aircraft Electrician performs preventative and non-routine maintenance and inspections of aircraft avionics and electrical systems. Uses manufacturer's reference documents, diagrams, and best practices to troubleshoot problems, identify the correct solutions and replace or repair components and parts. Being an Aircraft Electrician conducts quality testing, verification procedures, and required documentation of all completed work. Ensures compliance with all FAA maintenance regulations and requirements. Additionally, Aircraft Electrician typically requires an associate degree in aviation electronics, avionics or equivalent. Requires Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Aircraft Electrician works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.     Essential Job Duties

    • The Electrician II assists Instrument Techs, Industrial Computer Techs, and Electrical Techs in their jobs.
    • The Electrician II must strive to obtain the necessary qualifications needed to obtain the position of Instrument Tech, Industrial Computer Tech, or Electrical Tech.
    • The Electrician II will do some maintenance and construction jobs on their own as their knowledge, skills, and experience progress.
    • Keep work areas clean.
    • Complete reports as required.
    • Develop the process, electrical, instrumentation, and programming skills of self and others through training.
    • Use people, time, equipment, and material in the most efficient manner.
    • Report mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, environmental, food safety, feed safety, and operational problems, and unsafe conditions to supervisor.
    • Other duties as required by the business.
    • Adhere to all company policies and all safety, food safety, feed safety, and sanitation rules and programs

    Qualifications

    • Two year degree or diploma in an electrical or instrumentation field from an approved trade or technical school is desired
    • Leadership and judgment qualities required.
    • Process related experience and basic sugar processing knowledge desired.
    • Should be motivated, willing, enthusiastic, and promotable.
    • Good attendance, safety, disciplinary, and overall employment records.
    • Organized with excellent time management skills
    • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels

    • An Electrician II must be able to successfully demonstrate the methods involved in the wiring and maintenance of Minn-Dak’s electrical systems and equipment.  This includes all Control Technician III capabilities plus the following:
    1. Know Minn-Dak’s controls
    2. Know Minn-Dak voltages and location of MCC’s and panel boards
    3. Know how to trouble shoot and repair VFD’s at the board and semi conductor level
    4. Know how to get into Minn-Dak PLC program to trouble shoot field devices
    5. Fill in for rotating shift
