Aircraft Electrician jobs in Gainesville, FL
Aircraft Electrician performs preventative and non-routine maintenance and inspections of aircraft avionics and electrical systems. Uses manufacturer's reference documents, diagrams, and best practices to troubleshoot problems, identify the correct solutions and replace or repair components and parts. Being an Aircraft Electrician conducts quality testing, verification procedures, and required documentation of all completed work. Ensures compliance with all FAA maintenance regulations and requirements. Additionally, Aircraft Electrician typically requires an associate degree in aviation electronics, avionics or equivalent. Requires Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Aircraft Electrician works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Pay: $20.00/hr. to $30.00/hr. - Depending on Experience
Required Qualifications:
- 2 year's experience
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
- Pass a pre-employment drug and background check
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
- Be familiar with a wide range of electrical troubleshooting techniques
- Highly Safety conscious
- Advanced customer service skills
- Experience making repair and replace decisions
- A thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes
