Implements procedures to guide the routine inspection of aircraft components to facilitate optimal and reliable functionality. Being an Aircraft Maintenance Manager oversees the scheduling and timely completion of repairs and maintenance ensuring budget adherence. Reviews documented issues and reports to determine repairability and evaluates recommendations for replacements, repairs, or modifications to ensure conformance with safety standards and performance requirements. Additionally, Aircraft Maintenance Manager evaluates aircraft data and technical documents and researches new technologies to identify areas to improve practices or processes. Develops internal policies and guidelines to ensure compliance with federal aviation regulations and safety standards. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Responsibilities of our Maintenance Manager:
1) Supports and maintains all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement as well as standard work procedures.2) Supervises maintenance personnel in maintaining machines and equipment.3) Plans and maintains maintenance schedules.
4) Provides technical advice and training to production and maintenance personnel.5) Participates in recommending purchase of new capital equipment, plant layout, production methods, material handling, and parts inventory.6) Manages the installation of new and used equipment.
7) Coordinates new automation equipment with production personnel.8) Assists Molding Department in making necessary adjustments to maintain product quality.
9) Arranges and coordinates outside contractors.10) Manages the upkeep of recommended building and ground repairs.
11) Authorize to take out of service any machine or equipment that would further deteriorate it upon continued use.12) Issue request for capital expense for continued plant product and machine maintenance.
