Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor supervises the maintenance operations of aircraft airframes and engines to ensure safe and reliable performance. Oversees routine servicing and preventative maintenance to optimize the lifetime of aircraft airframe and engine components according to internal procedures, guidelines, and technical handbooks. Being an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor evaluates technical requirements to determine the tradeoffs between the repair versus the replacement of components and the effect on cost and safety. Implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all federal aviation regulations, standards, and specifications. Additionally, Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor informs and trains aircraft mechanics on current information from manufacturers and regulatory bodies. Coordinates and schedules inspections and follow-up tasks to ensure timely completion. Requires a high school diploma. Requires FAA Airframe (A) and Powerplant (P) Mechanic License. Typically reports to a manager. JOB SUMMARY
This hourly non-exempt position requires a basic knowledge of turbine aircraft and related systems. The job includes varying amounts of parts replacement or repair, electrical troubleshooting, hydraulic and pneumatic system work, inspection of aircraft or systems and general mechanic applications. Job duties will vary each day and are designated by the Team Leader in charge of the project. Will be required to work independently or lead small projects. Will have direct customer contact.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education High school diploma or equivalent.
Airframe and Powerplant License.
Aircraft specific factory training preferred.
A valid drivers license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not required
Experience Airframe and Powerplant license minimum.
5 – 10 years prior experience on aircraft maintenance preferred.
3 – 5 years Gulfstream or Corporate Aviation experience preferred
Initiative Self-motivated and able to maintain a rapid pace.
Process work with minimum supervision
Provide incentive to other Team Leaders.
Responsibility Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.
Notify supervisor n advance of shift starting if unable to work.
Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
Must perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
Follow all company and safety rules during the performance of duties.
Maintain customer oriented work habits.
Direct the work and flow of small projects.
