Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor supervises the maintenance operations of aircraft airframes and engines to ensure safe and reliable performance. Oversees routine servicing and preventative maintenance to optimize the lifetime of aircraft airframe and engine components according to internal procedures, guidelines, and technical handbooks. Being an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor evaluates technical requirements to determine the tradeoffs between the repair versus the replacement of components and the effect on cost and safety. Implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all federal aviation regulations, standards, and specifications. Additionally, Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor informs and trains aircraft mechanics on current information from manufacturers and regulatory bodies. Coordinates and schedules inspections and follow-up tasks to ensure timely completion. Requires a high school diploma. Requires FAA Airframe (A) and Powerplant (P) Mechanic License. Typically reports to a manager. The Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Job Description :

    The ROVER AMT performs maintenance on company owned aircraft and equipment in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations, Manufacturers Manuals and Air Evac's Company Policies and Procedures.

    Will be available on an On-Call basis, and assists with coverage of open shifts as needed.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / DUTIES

    Ability and willingness to travel, working days, nights, weekends, and be on-call 24 / 7 during the duty period assigned

    Maintains company aircraft in a safe and efficient manner with emphasis on compliance with the A.A.I.P.

    Will be available for maintenance related matters 24 hours a day except for on his scheduled days off.

    Submit all appropriate paperwork in a neat and timely manner.

    Report any major malfunctions, aircraft damage to the appropriate individuals in the most expeditious manner.

    Present him / herself in a neat and professional manner while carrying out his duties with the Company.

    Wash, wax, and clean aircraft as needed along with nurse, paramedic, and pilot.

    Perform housekeeping duties required to keep the hangar area neat, clean, and presentable.

    Becoming thoroughly acquainted with all relevant local Policies and Procedures.

    Monitor aircraft maintenance status and maintain liaison with the regional maintenance personnel to ensure proper and timely scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is accomplished.

    Keep the local Senior Base AMT, informed of all operational matters that should be brought to the attention of Company management.

    Read, understand and interpret maintenance manuals, technical websites, written & verbal instructions.

    Perform other duties as required.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    To perform this job successfully, a mechanic must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.

    Education / Experience

    High School or Training Equivalent

    Three years' experience in helicopter maintenance

    Credentials / Licenses

    Current A & P required

    IA Preferred

    Current States Driver's License
