Primary Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of roles, responsibilities and scope of practice of PA profession.
• Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of clinical sites for PA students in collaboration with the clinical team.
• Deliver relevant and current curriculum using a variety of teaching methods and standardized tools that accurately reflect effectiveness of course content.
• Network with and travel to outside organizations and facilities for purposes to include clinical site development and student evaluation.
• Mentor, instruct, and evaluate students.
• Participate in principal faculty program requirements.
• Maintain an active clinical practice with an average of 6 hours per week.
• Ability to relate to a culturally diverse university and clinical affiliate community
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of the University's Mission

Qualifications:

• Must hold current NCCPA certification, a Master's Degree, and be eligible for licensure in the state of Iowa
• Two or more years of clinical experience is required
• Prior teaching or clinical placement coordination in a PA program and prior precepting experience is preferred
