Aircraft Mechanic Assistant assists aircraft maintenance personnel to keep aircrafts in safe working condition by servicing engines, engine components, and airframe components. Aids in modifying and replacing parts such as instruments, wiring, and tires. Being an Aircraft Mechanic Assistant requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Additionally, Aircraft Mechanic Assistant typically reports to a supervisor. The Aircraft Mechanic Assistant may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.
