Position Summary:
As an Aircraft Technician, reporting to the Director of Maintenance, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining aircraft and engines. This role involves a variety of tasks, requiring flexibility and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and correct aircraft/engine discrepancies noted during scheduled inspections and post-flight.
Install and remove aircraft engines.
- Conduct hot section inspections following operations specifications and repair station manuals.
- Tow aircraft as needed.
- Adhere to inspection requirements as outlined in the company’s Repair Station Manual and 135 Operations Manual.
- Perform engine maintenance, including build-up and tear-down.
- Refuel, defuel, service oxygen, and replenish aircraft systems.
- Clean aircraft and control corrosion.
- Follow company ground safety policies and procedures.
- Complete necessary paperwork for FAA, safety, and billing requirements.
- Respond to weekend pages within 20 minutes (on a rotational basis).
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.
Qualifications:
- High School education or equivalent.
- Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant License.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in general aviation.
- Experience with corporate aircraft, turboprops, twin engines, and light jets.
- PT-6 and Turbine experience necessary.
- Skills, Abilities, and Personal Characteristics:
- Physical ability to bend, lift, and kneel, and to stand for extended periods.
- Must pass Pre-Employment and Quarterly DOT Drug and Alcohol tests.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
