Jersey Jet Ski is seeking Jet Ski Guides to join our team for the upcoming season for our Jersey City location. As a Jet Ski Guide, you will be responsible for leading groups of customers on exhilarating jet ski tours and rentals through the waters of New York Harbor. You will ensure that all customers are equipped with the necessary safety gear, provide basic instruction on how to operate a jet ski, and guide them through a fun and memorable experience.
Responsibilities:
-Conduct pre-tour safety briefings and provide basic instruction on how to operate a jet ski, after the video.
-Lead groups of customers on jet ski tours through the waters of Jersey City.
-Ensure the safety of all customers at all times.
-Provide excellent customer service and make sure that all customers have a fun and memorable experience. Taking photos and videos at appropriate times from your phone in a secured case.
-Keep accurate records of tours and customer information.
-Maintain and organization of the jet skis and related equipment. Higher pay comes from the ability to also do maintenance and bodywork on jet skis, as well as experience in this field.
Requirements:
-Must be at least 18 years old and have or be able to attain a boating safety certificate (takes 5 hours of online training to complete).
-Strong swimming ability and comfort in open water (which we can assist in training with if you're a great fit with the team).
-Experience operating a jet ski.
-Ability to work weekends and holidays. (Bonus is available if all weekends/holidays are worked during the season, specifically Memorial Day/July 4th weekend-Sept 15th.)
-Excellent communication and customer service skills. GREAT SERVICE GETS GREAT TIPS, and we're happy to train proper safety and service etiquette.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
