    Job Overview:

    We are currently seeking a skilled Marine Painter to join our team. The role involves applying paint, varnishes, and other coatings to a variety of marine vessels. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of marine painting techniques and be committed to delivering high-quality work that withstands marine environments.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Surface Preparation: Thoroughly clean, sand, and prepare vessel surfaces for painting, including rust removal and applying primer.
    • Paint Application: Apply paint, varnishes, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment, ensuring even coverage and adherence to marine quality standards.
    • Color Matching and Mixing: Accurately mix and match paints and finishes to specified colors and consistencies. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean painting equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition and stored properly.
    • Quality Control: Conduct inspections to ensure the quality and durability of the paint job, adhering to industry standards and client specifications.
    • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols related to painting in a marine environment, including the use of personal protective equipment and proper handling of hazardous materials.
    • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of paint formulations, work completed, time taken, and materials used.

    Qualifications:
    • Proven experience as a marine painter or similar role.
    • Knowledge of marine painting techniques and materials.
    • Ability to work in various weather conditions and on uneven surfaces.
    • Physically capable of performing tasks such as lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    • Effective communication skills and ability to follow complex instructions.
    • High school diploma or equivalent; professional training or certification in marine painting is a plus.

    Work Environment:
    Work typically takes place in a shipyard or dockyard environment.
    May involve working at heights, on scaffolding, and in various weather conditions.
