Airframe and Engine Mechanic maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots aircraft components to ensure safe and reliable performance. Conducts routine servicing to optimize the lifetime of aircraft airframe and engine components according to internal procedures, guidelines, and technical handbooks. Being an Airframe and Engine Mechanic utilizes a variety of tools and equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine malfunctioning parts of aircraft engines and assemblies. Follows company protocols to maintain safety, cleanliness, and organization within the hangar or workshop. Additionally, Airframe and Engine Mechanic recommends part changes or adjustments to ensure compliance with all federal aviation regulations, standards, and specifications. Maintains accurate records of services and procedures performed and documents and reports issues, concerns, and unusual wear or damage of parts. Requires a high school diploma. Requires FAA Airframe (A) and Powerplant (P) Mechanic License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Airframe and Engine Mechanic works under moderate supervision. Shop Mechanic Intermediate (Natural Gas Compressor and Engine) - Midland

  • Overview: Performs maintenance, repair and refurbishment of gas compression equipment at a make-ready shop.

    Skills and Abilities: 
    Ability to: 
    - Demonstrate proficiency in accurately and efficiently diagnosing and repairing mechanical problems on multiple compressor configurations.
    - Show track record of performing Preventative Maintenance (PM) with no guidance.
    - Perform Major Maintenance (MM) and Overhauls as part of a team.
    - Demonstrate customer service skills.
    - Read, write and speak English and/or fully understand daily work instructions (work orders, manuals, etc.)
    - Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures.
    - Complete and submit company required documentation in an accurate and timely fashion.

    Knowledge: 
    - Knowledge of gas engines and compressors, electrical systems, panel boards, skid wiring, etc., through Compressor 101, equivalent training or performance verification.
    - Knowledge of new technologies.
    - Working knowledge of relevant HSE procedures and regulations.
    - Generally understands all processes and systems on how a compressor works.

    Minimum Education and Certification: 
    - Preferred - High school diploma or equivalent
    - Preferred - Gas or diesel engine and compressor school/training

    Minimum Experience:
    - Typically at least 3 years experience with natural gas engines and compressor.
