Being an Airport Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. JOB SUMMARY
Accountant III manages and maintains accounting, financial, and budget records. The class is responsible for performing advanced professional-level accounting work involving the research, analysis, and compliance of accounting, financial, and budget transactions and the reporting of municipal finances. The position provides technical guidance to City departments and Finance Department professional staff regarding applying and interpreting Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. May exercise functional or technical supervisory or leadership roles over other assigned staff. The class works within a general outline of work to be performed and develops work methods and sequences under general supervision.

Education and Experience
Master’s degree (no experience), or bachelor’s degree plus two years of experience.
Experience working with Grants.
Special Certifications and License
Must possess the ability to pass a federal background security threat assessment check required to obtain an airport SIDA badge. Must maintain a clean background to maintain the airport SIDA badge.
Valid Texas Driver’s License.

Proficient level of judgment with planning, leading, organizing, recognizing, and resolving issues or problems; requires very little supervision.
