By joining the Airport Inspection Branch you will have the opportunity to perform duties in the flightline/maintenance operation of an airport and perform other duties as assigned.
Holders of the Airport Flightline Attendant I will complete tasks such as:

Refuel aircraft with aviation fuel, meet and direct all arrving aircraft, and move and store all type of aircraft.
- Maintain daily sales reports, fuel request forms, and daily fuel inventory reports for both inventory and control requirements.
- Provide information to incoming/departing aircraft, e.g. current weather conditions and traffic data.
- Use power unit to start aircraft, and maintain 5,000 volt airport lighting and navigational equipment.
- Perform airport facilities maintenance and repair work, i.e., snow removal, janitorial service, grounds upkeep, etc. as directed by the Airport Operations Supervisor.
Holders of this position will obtain the following skills:

Proper techniques and equipment used for moving and storing of multiple types of aircraft.
- Proper methods and cleaning compounds/agents used in carefully cleaning/maintaining of aircraft.
- Use of equipment/tools in general maintenance of buildings and grounds.
- Familiarity of general airport operations.
Desired candidates possess the following requisite skills or experience applicable to the position:

Previous customer service experience.
- Previous experience in the field of aviation or airport operations or similar work conditions.
- Comfortable with working in an operational environment that requires awareness of surroundings and potential hazards.
- Possess a general mechanical aptitude for equipment and machinery.
Additional Information: The successful candidate may be asked to travel, but on a very limited basis and seldom overnight. This position does require the ability to climb ladders, stand/stoop/bend to wash vehicles and aircraft, lift and carry supplies and water, sweep floors, as well as the use of other motor skills required by listed tasks.
