Airport Engineer plans, designs and lays out airports and landing fields. Oversees the construction work involved in leveling fields, laying out and surfacing runways. Being an Airport Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Airport Engineer relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.     THE ROLE

    Contribute to the Business of Airports, Around the World

     

    The Contracts Manager is responsible for supporting the Commercial Department with the documentation and execution of commercial leases/agreements as well as abstracting, monitoring, and managing agreements to ensure:

    • All agreements align with federal, state and local laws, as well as corporate guidelines, policies, objectives and goals.
    • All new agreements have favourable terms and are consistent across projects and locations.
    • All breaches, defaults and required correspondence are processed efficiently and effectively
    • All lease milestones and requirements (including co-tenancy requirements, expirations, and other critical dates) are understood and communicated to internal stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities Include:

    General

    • Maintain lease library for Network that includes summaries and key terms of all commercial lease documents
    • Maintain library of client agreements (ie, Master Leases and Management Service Agreements) and abstract for requirements to be incorporated into commercial leases and provide site teams with guidance on these requirements
    • Assist with tracking and compliance of the Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) programs and requirements
    • Assist with due diligence and review of contracts and leases as part of acquisitions and business development activities

    Leasing

    • Manage the development of standard lease terms and lease form template
    • Draft leases/subleases and other documents as negotiated by commercial dealmakers
    • Manage the lease execution process for internal approvals and execution by tenants/partners
    • Support dealmakers with reviewing lease comments and redlining legal comments (non-commercial) proposed by potential partners
    • Review term sheets and letters of intent, as needed
    • Support the development and drafting of lease procurement documents

    Legal

    • Liaise with external consul and act as a point of contact
    • Oversee billing and budgets of external consul associated with different projects
    • Review and support site leadership with resolution of non-conformities by third parties
    • Manage the development of short-term agreements/license templates specific to each site
    • Manage the development of default letters, termination letters, and demand letter templates based on specific requirements for each jurisdiction and leases
    • Support onsite leadership with collections and evictions of tenants/sub-tenants based on jurisdiction and leases

    Other duties as assigned commensurate with the role

    ABOUT YOU

    • Undergraduate university degree in Business Administration, Finance or other related field.
    • A minimum of five (5) years’ contracts or paralegal experience; have prior work experience in a business or businesses operating across international boundaries.
    • Paralegal designation an asset.
    • Ability to work cross-functionally with all areas of the organization
    • Detail-oriented and solutions driven self-starter who takes pride in delivering high-quality, timely results
    • Communicates effectively and has strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent organization skills and well-rounded interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work in situations with changing priorities and multiple, simultaneous assignments
