Alumni Affairs Director oversees services for alumni. Builds and maintains alumni mailing lists, oversees mailings and coordinates and plans alumni functions and activities. Being an Alumni Affairs Director may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Alumni Affairs Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be an Alumni Affairs Director typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Education & Experience
Position Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- Five (5) years of work experience in higher education environment and experience using data to inform decision-making in higher education
- Successful experience organizing and implementing enrollment management, graduate student success center and recruitment/retention initiatives
Preferred
- Master’s Degree or equivalent experience
