Burning Man Logistics Technician

PART-TIME Opportunity

Located at Burning Man (Located outside Gerlach, NV)

Reports to Logistics Chief

We're hiring Logistics Technicians to support our clinical team and management team while operating at Burning Man. This group is responsible for four primary areas: facility support and housekeeping, administrative assistance, patient records, and registration clerk. By covering these divisions, the field operations team allows our clinical team to provide unparalleled care in a high-volume clinical setting. The field operations team supports both the Independent Center for Emergency Care (ICEC) known as rampart and the support structures that house clinical staff and public safety team members. Logistics Technicians are the backbone of our operation, and keep the HVAC systems, clinical facilities, Western Shelters, and multiple trailer units operational throughout the challenging environmental conditions. Rampart and the ground response units are responsible for over 3,000 patient interactions and 1, calls over the 18-day operational period. All team members must work a minimum of four (4) shifts for Burning Man 2024.

Event Dates

Burning Man is held the week prior to and including Labor Day weekend. Our clinic(s) will be operational from Tuesday, August 20 th through Tuesday, September 1 st , 2024. While you are not required to be present for the duration of the event, all providers must work a minimum of four (4) shifts for Burning Man 2024.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures that event activities are aligned with CrowdRx goals and strategic plan
• Assists the Chief Logistics Officer with equipment accountability
• Receives supplies and equipment and reintegrates into circulation.
• Facilitates compound clean up
• Removes waste to the appropriate areas
• Assists with timely checks of Rampart structure
• Aids with meal pickups and drop offs from commissary
• Maintains and sanitizes dining hall
• Conducts self in a professional manner in accordance with the Company's 'Standards of Conduct' policy
• Facilitates, updates, and monitors the digital and physical tracking of assets alongside Chief Logistics Officer

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Microsoft Office/Google Suite knowledge.
• Ability to work under time constraints and in adverse conditions.
• Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Valid State Driver License.
• Industry experience preferred.
• Effective customer service skills.
• Working understanding of special event operations and customer service
• Demonstrated skill in the successful completion of multiple, simultaneous, and rapidly emergent tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn innovative technologies and procedures.
• Ability to write reports and document emergency response activities
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with venue partners and events.
• Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate in hot, dusty, and windy environments for extended periods of time.
