Colville is hiring for a Parts Inventory & Procurement Clerk in Prudhoe Bay, AK!

This position will be responsible for inspecting, managing and maintaining company parts and inventory at our Distribution Shop up in Deadhorse. North-Slope Rotational Position: This position requires a rotational commitment to travel to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska and live in Brooks Camp while working a three week-on / three week-off rotation. 

General Accountabilities

• Performs buying duties when necessary.
• Prepares purchase orders and sends copies to suppliers and to departments originating requests.
• Obtains proper specifications, quotations, delivery terms and costs.
• Recommends alternatives to save money or improve delivery.
• Prepares, maintains, and reviews purchasing files, reports, and price lists.
• Checks shipments when they arrive to ensure that orders have been filled correctly and that goods meet specifications.
• Compares prices, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.
• Reviews requisition orders to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications.
• Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve problems.
• Tracks the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders.
• Determines if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs, ordering more materials when necessary.
• Receives parts into inventory, utilizing the barcode and internal company software.
• Maintains computerized inventory records of all parts.
• Conducts periodic physical inventory.
• Operates a forklift, pallet jack or other as needed.

Minimum Qualifications 

• Experience
  • Required Experience | 2 Years of relevant field, heavy duty parts & procurement
  • Required | Ability to navigate MicrosoftOffice 365, Adobe
  • Preferred Experience | 5 years working in a Shop 
  • Preferred Experience | Fleetio experience, Procurement System Exposure, Epicore system use
  • Preferred Experience | 2-3 Years Forklift experience
• Physical Requirements
  • Push, Pull, Lift up to 50lbs unassisted
  • Pass MVR Record requirements, able to drive company cars
