  • Hitchcock Animal Hospital is currently looking for Receptionists/Client Care Specialists to fill vacant positions within our hospital. We are a locally owned full service, small animal veterinary hospital with focus on the patient and client experience and providing exceptional quality medicine and surgery for our patients. We are looking for enthusiastic, compassionate individuals with excellent communication and customer service skills to become a part of the Hitchcock Animal Hospital Team!

    We have a brand new state-of-the-art, 4000 square feet veterinary hospital that is well planned for the comfort of our patients, clients, and staff and designed to create an excellent work flow. The hospital is exceptionally well equipped with all new computer, phone, and credit card processing technology including, dual monitor computer work stations in reception for easy access to information for scheduling and patient/client information, state-of-the-art voice over internet phone system with text capabilities, and both stationary and mobile Clover credit card processors for ease and options for client check-out. We utilize a user-friendly cloud based, paperless software. Our reception area is spacious and comfortable with ample room to work.     As a Receptionist/Client Care Specialist you will:

    · Receive extensive training on hospital procedures, practice software, front desk office equipment to equip you with the knowledge you need to have success and confidence in your position at Hitchcock Animal Hospital

    · Interact with clients in-office and over the phone for scheduling, client check-in and check-out

    · Handle monetary issues related to client transactions for the collection of funds for services rendered; maintain accurate balances and invoicing; handle cash, check, and credit card transactions as per hospital protocol

    · Utilize practice software to for medical record keeping of client communications and inputting messages from clients and requests for prescription medications

    · Act professionally and maintain a positive attitude while interacting with clients and maintain organization while multitasking

    · Greet all clients and acknowledge their pet upon entry to the hospital; be familiar with client and pet information to allow for personable, meaningful interactions that show you care; ensure that client does not have any unanswered questions before leaving the hospital

    · Show compassion when interacting with clients presenting for difficult or end-of-life patient care

    · Monitor the client areas (front entry, lobby, etc) to ensure clean, tidy, and comfortable

    Receptionist/Client Care Specialist Requirements:

    · High School Diploma or GED certificate required, experience with computers and email knowledge preferable

    · Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills

    · Friendly, positive, team-oriented attitude

    · Ability to lift 30 pounds

    · Flexible work schedule includes some weekends

    · Proficient in typing and computer skills required for digital software scheduling, in-hospital messaging, and client communication and medical records
