Animal Scientist jobs in Columbia, SC

Duties
- Provide daily care and maintenance for our very special cats and dogs in a professional and compassionate manner

- Feed, water, and administer medications and treatments as directed

- Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns

- Maintain accurate records of animal care, including feeding schedules, medications, and any observed changes in behavior or health

- Assist with grooming and bathing of animals

-Clean and sanitize animal enclosures, including kennels, yards, and buildings

Requirements
-MUST have a minimum of one year experience in animal care
- Ability to handle animals safely and confidently, including dogs of various sizes and temperaments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Must be able to lift over 50lbs
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

- Must have reliable transportation to and from the work-site

​ Schedule-Tuesday – Saturday. Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM. The pay rate is $10.00/hr. Upon successful completion of a 60 day probation period the employee will be eligible for an increase.

Benefit- No sick leave, paid vacation or health insurance will be provided.
