Join the staff at the oldest gift shop in Myrtle Beach! Since 1946 the Gay Dolphin Gift Cove has been a staple of the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Boulevard. We are now seeing sales associates/cashiers for our busy retail operation.

This position provides excellent customer service by actively communicating with customers and assisting them with whatever questions they may have, as well as accurately and quickly scanning customers' items and processing payments to insure the proper accounting of each transaction.

This position requires you to:

• Operate a cash register including cash transactions and charges
• Price merchandise
• Dust, straighten, and clean departments, rest rooms and break areas; clean windows and sweep floors
• Stock merchandise
• Complete price changes and inventories, as assigned
• Maintain cash register area
• Provide prompt, accurate and friendly service to customers, providing a positive shopping experience
• Be friendly, courteous and cooperative with other store associates
• Ability to read and understand information and direction
• Demonstrate a knowledge of basic math skills
• Perform other job related duties as assigned

Candidates for this job must have energy, an excellent work ethic, great customer service skills, a positive attitude, and a smile. Candidates must be available to work nights and weekends. The Gay Dolphin is open year-round seven days a week, excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas. Hours of operation vary depending on the time of year.

• Starting pay is $13.00
• Full time or part time
• Employees are paid weekly
