AP Professionals is partnering with a local manufacturer that has been in business for decades in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist. The Accounts Payable Specialist oversees invoice processing in line with company policies and ensures timely and accurate payment processing. This role is 100% onsite.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute outgoing payments in adherence to financial policies and protocols.
• Conduct precise review, categorization, and processing of vendor invoices.
• Manage multiple vendor accounts while adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Carry out data entry tasks related to accounts payable functions.
• Scrutinize and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Ensure reconciliation of accounts payable ledger, maintaining accurate records of all bills and payments.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in vendor accounts and monthly statements.
• Generate comprehensive reports outlining accounts payable status.
• Demonstrate proficiency in expense accounts and cost centers.
• Uphold compliance standards regarding accounts payable processes including W-9, sales tax, etc.
• Perform monthly reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Fulfill other assigned duties related to the role.

EDUCATION

• High school diploma required; Business or Accounting degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience with accounting software systems.
• 2-3 years of accounts payable experience.
• Prior experience in evaluating sales tax is advantageous.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Capacity to maintain confidential records accurately.
• Ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with fundamental accounting principles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
