Job Title : Application Support Engineer

Job Description

Support the operations of cloud based engineering application in a fast-paced environment. You will work with a team of motivated technology professionals to build and maintain re-sellable solutions in the AWS cloud, providing application implementation and operational support as needed to further the goals of the organization. Utilizing a wide array of AWS services and a modern codebase, these solutions are built on cutting edge technologies and are slated for continuous improvements in functionality, infrastructure, and operations as the solutions evolve. You will leverage the newest application features to continuously monitor and secure our solutions, and the tooling to continuously build and deploy to both lower lifecycle and production environments. Responsibility: (Under manager and customer’s supervision)
-    Provide subject matter expertise around technical infrastructure and applications.
-    Define the business case for solutions, design the solution to help prototype and develop the customer’s new environment, and guide the solution through launch to market.
-    Develop the system environment in cloud
-    Demonstrate thought leadership in cloud computing across multiple channels and become a trusted advisor to decision makers.

Support work:
-    Staging / testing of engineering application updates and bug-fixes.
-    Troubleshoot application issues.  Work with end users and other supporting IS departments to define, reproduce and countermeasure issues.
-    Create and test deployment scripts for the application images and patches.
-    Ability to create / maintain standardized processes.
-    Manage environment using Toyota’s Change Management Process.
-    Support emergency application changes or business requests.
-    Create detailed / clear documentations & problem reports.
-    Provide off-hours support as needed, both onsite & remotely.
-    Daily time management and accurate time reporting.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
•    Experience creating and modifying scripts or applications to perform tasks
•    Hands on experience with Linux/Unix
•    Experience monitoring web server system components
•    Engineering application support Like CATIA V5, Creo, Autodesk, Delmia V6 etc. is plus
•    Knowledge of cloud infrastructure technologies in AWS
•    Familiarity with Microsoft PowerShell
•    Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline, Jenkins, Terraform, Terragrunt
•    Strong communication skills
•    High integrity, with a proactive, positive approach to work
•    AWS Certification is a plus.

UDGMENT REQUIREMENTS    
Other than standard guidelines, procedures and assignments, little direction may be given.  The candidate must be able to manage his/her time and assignments.  Thoroughness in completing tasks on time with high quality is imperative.  Information Security is a priority and the enforcement and adherence to corporate security policy is critical.
The candidate will interact with the entire Information Systems division, receive instructions, support projects and share status information, but will also be in contact with other Toyota groups to coordinate changes and obtain requirements.
