SARA is looking for a remarkably talented, motivated, and experienced Network Administrator to support activities onsite out of our Colorado Springs location, supporting our organization in Colorado Springs and Cypress, CA. The candidate will have the opportunity to grow and learn to support our talented engineers, physicists, and technicians on long-standing programs and new programs supporting our customers.
The primary function of this role is to serve as a Network Administrator for the Corporate IT department. The selectee will maintain all corporate networks using industry best practices for both functionality and security. The selectee will work with the company IT Operations Lead and IT Network Architect to ensure both optimal functionality of networks, appliances, and systems along with compliance for both the unclassified corporate computer systems/networks and the classified computer systems/networks in accordance with US Government standards (such as CMMC, ICD 503, JSIG, DoD RMF, DAAPM, NISPOM, NIST 800 family and CNSSI 1253).
This individual will be required to perform network operational tasks, improve network performance, help in the architecture and planning of network growth, maintain security documentation, assist in security violation investigations, and assist with other aspects of operations and security as required. All job functions will be performed in a Cisco, Windows, and Linux/Unix environment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Corporate Network Administrator, responsible for network operation and network security duties
- Manage the configurations and operations of all core infrastructure network systems (Cisco)
- Monitor core infrastructure network systems on a daily/weekly basis
- Rapid response to identify and resolve any security or usability concerns
- Perform network systems security maintenance tasks such as patching and hardening efforts to complement production schedules
- Perform infrastructure analysis to determine customer requirements for new and existing systems and services based on business needs and practices
- Work with vendors to maintain software licensing and maintenance agreements
- Support access control and version control of existing network(s) architectures for compliance with security requirements from applicable security frameworks and customer requirements
- Provide technical and procedural network operational advice to government and industrial teams
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) to internal and external stakeholders as they address potential threats from companywide security scans
- Assist the ISSE with technical inspections to identify and mitigate potential security weaknesses and ensure that all security feature applied to systems or networks are operational
- Assist the ISSE with day-to-day security posture and continuous monitoring of IS, including security event log review and analysis.
- Perform self-inspections and investigations as required by government regulations
- Analyze, interpret, and verify IS disaster recovery/contingency plans assuring the rapid recovery of IS in the event of an emergency or disaster
- Learn and conduct COMSEC responsibilities as required
- Provide end user technical support for network related issues and other relevant requests
- Willingness to assist System Administrators and Service Desk Technicians with customer service and support, outside the scope of network administration
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Business, Cybersecurity, Information Technology or equivalent discipline or equivalent industry experience
- 4 years of relevant experience
- Intermediate experience with Cisco network appliances: routers, switches, and wireless technology
- Intermediate experience managing Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM) and Cisco Unified Connection Administration (CUCA)
- Intermediate experience with SIP truck technologies and VoIP gateways
- Intermediate experience with gateway/firewall technologies (Palo Alto preferred)
- Experience with VMware ESXi or similar Virtual/Hyperconvergence technologies
- Experience with SAN technologies utilizing data backup/recovery best practices
- Strong written, spoken, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Strong technical critical thinking skills to ensure proper continuity in classified environment ensuring security implementation meets government requirements
- US Citizenship with Top Secret, security clearance (Active)
- May require moderate physical effort, involving standing, sitting and use of hands while performing duties, carrying or lifting up to 50 pounds
- Working environment is indoor, moderately quiet, reasonably clean, well-lighted and well-ventilated, moderate physical hazards may exist
Preferred Qualifications:
- Systems administration experience - Active Directory, Group Policy, Server Management
- CCNA certified. CompTIA Network & Security certified
- Familiarity with NIST & CMMC initiatives

Pay Range:
Salary at SARA is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $85,000 to $110,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of SARA’s total compensation package for employees.
